What do you like about working at United States Army?

"It was a challenge, an adventure, I got to travel the world, I got to work with and meet lots of different kinds of people, I was outside a lot, I wasn't chained to a desk, I felt I was contributing to a large, important mission, I felt I was serving my country."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"You have to really want it. Know that it sucks in a lot of ways. It's not like the commercials. But there are definitely perks."

What don't you like about working at United States Army?

"Not being able to see my family. Having my life controlled by the US government. Not having the freedom to pick my career assignments or duty stations. Not having the freedom to quit when I pleased."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Emphasize training to standard, not to time. If this means leaving work at 3 pm, so be it."
