"I have been working for LCI for about one year. Working in this research center gave me opportunities to learn how data-based research is done and how to find the best strategy to illustrate your research findings to the audience. People have the flexibility to participate in the research topics that they are interested in."
"UCLA is a good place to do cutting edge research. However postdoctoral researcher is not really a long term job."
"I've worked as a Valet Attendant since 2018. The compensation was great, and the supervisors that I was working for was extremely kind and flexible, especially because I was a student worker."
"Currently consulting for UCLA - not only a world class institution, but a great place to add value. I was opportuned and given the autonomy to develop many departments and teams during my tenure. The AVC, who I report to is an exceptional individual, very open to new and ideas and changes to move the organization forward. I am really excited to have contributed to the organization."
"I worked at UCLA for 1.5 years. They had excellent benefits, and free employee health and exercise programs. I enjoyed working with my coworkers and supervisor, and the HR department was very helpful as well. Communication was great between all areas."
"I've worked at UCLA Health for over two years. It's a fun experience because people are smart and motivated. However, there are a lot of administrative issues, and there is little to no room for growth unless you are a medical professional."
"I have been a student at UCLA since 2015. I started to teach in 2016 as a teaching assistant and I had a great experience as a TA, although the union is trying to improve the wages, everything else was great. During my doctorate, I enjoyed working on my research and it was great that I had the freedom to work independently."
"Good CIO. Granted everything's relatively new to him, he's doing a pretty job."
"Very difficult to move up, especially if you are a female. Salary isn't great, benefits and pension are pretty good perks. I feel my career has stalled at UCLA, I would not recommend this as a place to work."
"UCLA HHIPP department was great place to learn and grow."
"The work life balance for the PP&E department is challenging. There are constant demands and deadlines for the department. The other issue with the department is that is regularly understaffed and the staff is pressured to get the work done with limited to no overtime."
"A good place to work. Work and personal life balanced, great management and teams. UCLA offers a pack of by far the best benefits out there. Once you are in-house staff, you are in the whole pool UC system. Extremely easy process to transfer between departments. Access to all the recreations all over the campus, big discounts on classes, etc. Overall, it was a very good place to work for me."
"UCLA is a great university which gives the students a great opportunity to study and develop their interests."
"I have worked for UCLA Center for Health Policy Research for over half a year. It is a very nice research center with kind coworkers."
