"I've worked at the Cummings School for over 10 years. It's one of the busiest veterinary hospitals in the country. It is a good environment for work with an academic environment. However, there is an anti-technology mindset which can be tough for IT morale. Not a lot of room for growth either, as the company has moved to external vendors for their systems."

"I loved working here, am sad to go. I learned a lot here and finally thought that this would be my last job. It's very unfortunate that with all the cuts to the NIH, funding for academic research facilities is being lost."

"Building, research labs, offices, conference rooms condition is bad."

What do you like about working at Tufts University?

"Work environment is relaxed. I can leave early or arrive late some days."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Relaxed work environment. Not much work pressure. Projects progress in slow pace. If you are highly motivated like me and want move up in career ladder, you'd be disappointed"

What don't you like about working at Tufts University?

"No career growth. The infrastructure (rooms, labs, offices, buildings) are old. I'd never show my friends where I work. Pay scale is way below average (work week is 35hrs). As a research assistant I make 10K less than my counterpart at Harvard university."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Increase the pay scale so you can retain talent. Provide better infrastructure and resources (e.g. fitness center, cafeteria) so we can proudly show off our workplace."
