I am paid according to my value to the organization. I do not necessarily compare myself to the average because I am fulfilling a need at Solta that was not being met. Salary is important but I also look at other criteria as part of the decision to work at a company: total compensation, workplace environment/culture, location, career-growth, development opportunities.
Good company, small company culture, able to get things done up to financial limitations. Company suffered from some planning/strategy problems in hindsight, too many acquisitions without proper buildup/alignment of business processes to sustain them. Good people.
The management team is doing all the right things, stay the course.
