What do you like about working at Paycom?

"It was okay, but I felt like I was working with a bunch of amateurs."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't do it! Go look up payroll systems on Google and find any of their larger and better competitors. You WILL make more money and be happier elsewhere then at Paycom. Paycom is a complete waste of time."

What don't you like about working at Paycom?

"It sucked. It was a complete waste of my time. I left and was immediately offered almost three times as much money to work at a much better-run competitor! I now have a real product that people know about and is an easy sell. It's so easy to go and take back accounts and business from Paycom - they suck and their sales staff is horrible."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Fire all of management - they suck. It's run like a fly-by-night scam. They lie to you and want you to lie to your customers. It's anything it takes to make a sale, even if you have to sleep with customers - they don't give a damn. There's no limit to how low they will go. This tells you something about the company, its management team, and their product."

"Paycom SUCKS! Don't even consider it!"

What do you like about working at Paycom?

"I initially liked the small office team environment and the opportunity to work for a smart online company. I still like the actual product and think it's superior to other payroll systems out there, but the inner workings of the company and management are not ethical."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't do it! If you're a successful salesperson at Paycom, you could be making much better money with a different company that will treat you with much more respect and dignity."

What don't you like about working at Paycom?

"Where do I begin The management is promoted from within, which is usually a good thing, but unfortunately the people promoted were good salespeople and not good managers. The end of the year is a great time to be there but not spring and summer, as companies generally want to make this change for a January 1st start date. Everyone knows ADP and Paychex but almost no one knows Paycom unless they've been stalked by a Paycom rep. The company promotes stalking of business and encourages reps to bring candy and treats to businesses weekly to bribe them into an appointment. If you want to go to this pathetic level, this is a great job for you."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't fire people by texting them. Don't fire people the day they close a sale. Treat your employees with more respect and you may have a more productive, profitable office."
