3.5Standards of management continue to lack, despite costly efforts. Steps should be taken to further reduce managerial levels. Customers continue to be confused by the revolving Heads/Directors/VPs attending meetings with the actual workers on the accounts. Review your managerial ranks and please (finally) implement a standard across the regions. It is possible to be a global company without such waste.
3.4I have been working at Orange Silicon Valley full-time for more than 3 years. Pros - Learn about an industry by not only watching it, but also interacting with those who make the news, and trying their products/services first hand. Pretty good face time with Orange group execs since they come visit us fairly often. Excellent work/life balance, location, and time off. Cons - We don't have decision power here. Our primary role is to educate and recommend solutions internally. That's ok if you're patient, because Orange, like many other large companies, can be slow moving when it comes to trying new things. Not much room for advancement since the office is pretty small. Advice to Management - More focus would help.
2.9I have worked for Orange Business Services for more than 18 years. In the beginning, the company was truly a global environment that embraced diversity in it's people, it's offers and it's focus on the international market. However, over the past 3 years, it has become 100% focused on France. All opportunities to advance are solely based in France and only France. It has become a very closed minded company, with little to no view of diversity in their employees or the international marketplace.
