"I worked for Microsoft as a developer on assignment to MSNBC.com for 20 years, I learned a lot, was offered generous compensation, and had ample opportunity to exercise my creative talents. My coworkers were like family and I still miss the camaraderie, passion, and teamwork of my fellow employees. The work environment was collegiate and valued learning and innovation."

"Pro: work life balance; Con: Career growth."
"It is a good company and works culture."
"I've worked with Microsoft for close to 2.5 years now and they're all around a great company to work for. Being a creative in the tech industry has it's challenges as you're often overlooked and can feel a little under-valued over an SE hire (seems to be more-so than Amazon). Definitely the culture is great though and the people I work with are wonderful."
"It was a great learning experience"
"Microsoft took me in at the beginning of a pandemic and gave me a home. They gave me variously faceted projects to work on, including ones around candidate experience, building cleared pipelines, creating cloud training for recruiters, and immediately making hires in my first two weeks. They do treat their people like actual human beings which is the biggest selling point you can have these days. At the same time, they are a corporation and one should not take any business decisions personally."
