"McKesson taught me how to become a professional corporate assistant. In addition it treated all its employees well and paid most of my university expenses. By McKesson providing its employees with educational assistance they contributed -- albeit unknowingly -- to the overall welfare of their employees and the world."

"I’ve worked for McKesson for a little over two years and have found that the company is amazing to work for and will definitely give you the tools you need to get the job done and succeed, no matter what position you’re in. Everyone is very friendly and the teams are very close knit, so there’s always a comfortable family-like environment. Mckesson is always growing and branching out so you’re opportunity for self-growth is always amazing. They allow you to network within the company and put yourself in the position that you ultimately want to be in. The one con I can think of is the work/life balance. The upper management is pretty strict when it comes to coming into work and being on time, and won’t always reason with you when it comes to an “all of a sudden” situation. You have to go into the company with a hardworking mindset and be prepared to work on days you normally wouldn’t. It’s understandable to an extent, because it is patient care and you’d never want a sick or disabled patient to go without because it’s a holiday. Overall, the company is great to work for and you’ll be able to find ultimate success when you work very hard."

"I have worked with McKesson for about a year and a half now and the company has a great vision but limits their employees growth and potential. The people you work will be some of the best you could think of but the value Mckesson has for their employees is low."

"Working at McKesson could go either way, good or bad. If you land with a good manager, in a progressive team, you will really enjoy working for a large company like Mckesson. But if you end up with a bad manager, with a bad attitude, with personal biases, etc, then McKesson could be a living hell. Unfortunately there are too many such managers, and unfortunately, HR and executives up the ladder tend to turn a blind eye towards such people."

"Easily the worst place I've worked in my entire career. Systems are terrible, culture is broken, and senior management is racist. This is in an environment in which the average salary was >$100,000. I can't even imagine what average employees go through. Avoid this place like the plague."

"I work for McKesson for two years, love working for the company. I used to work in the La Vergne, TN distribution center, I hated it. The fact is all the managers there are racist, especially the operation manager. Instead of him solving problems he helped to create them. Like one incident where they fired a supervisor because they claim that he was having an affair with the employee which they had no proof of that except some phone calls between them. But it was ok for his boss to be dating one of his employees, people seen them outside of the job even at the company Christmas party together, what kind of example is that. The issue was that he cares about his employees and the well being. He did not like the job anymore so he was leaving and they did not like that. And come to find out they block him from getting the job at another facility. Also employee (white) comes to work drunk, fails a drug test and still has a job. I thought McKesson was a drug and alcohol free work place. Please someone need to do on investigation in the La Vergne facility."
