"I've worked for Maxim in Florida and in NC for almost 12 years. Communication and conditions vary widely from location to location. Some great clients, some great recruiters, some great supervisors, others not so great. Decent benefits but not cheap. Overall have enjoyed working there but now looking to move on! :)"

"Be honest with them about your needs as an employee. Do not be afraid to turn down patients who are inappropriate for you."

"The supervisor was not patient or conducive to helping me gain confidence with the job. She was not very supportive when asked for advice. She showed no interest in me as a valued member of the team. I did not feel that I had any control over the type of patient I was to take care of."

"Try to understand your nurses. Show an interest in them and their concerns. Help them to grow. Do not be impatient with them. Give them advice in a way they can grow."

"Be aware that there are a lot of qualifications in terms of CPR, physical, etc., but they are great after you have been hired."

"Some scheduled shifts would be cancelled. They are a nurse agency and often the hospital will cancel shifts if the hospital population decreases."

"They should increase their services in the home health service."
