Those who wish to focus more on advertising will most likely want to earn a bachelor's degree in journalism or advertising.
Career Path: It's advised that future marketing managers complete an internship while earning their degree. Experience in promotions, marketing and sales may prove beneficial, as could a former position as a sales representative, public relations specialist or purchasing agent.
