What do you like about working at MAC Cosmetics?
"The opportunity to implement my creative skills. MAC was a very open-minded place to work."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Yes, be able to complete a full make-over in 30 minutes. Know HOW to sell! But even if you don't know how to sell, but you are good at make-up, they WILL train you on sales techniques, but be an artist first and they will guide you."
What don't you like about working at MAC Cosmetics?
"Benefits are only available to those completing 40 hrs of work a week. I was only part-time."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"None. The management team is outstanding!"

"Macy's was a great place to start working right after graduation from makeup school. But it made me realize how much more potential I had."
What do you like about working at Macy's?
"It opened my eyes to how competitive the cosmetics industry is, and all the profit to be made. Macy's taught me a lot about customer service as well."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you know what your job really is. What the majority of your day will consist of, a lot of the positions do not maintain a lot of responsibility or change in your day. There are good benefits and Macy's is a busy store so you won't be bored."
What don't you like about working at Macy's?
"I didn't feel I was allowed to use my skills as much as I would have liked. The days became a bit repetitive, you're forced to stand in one area all day, every day, and I would have liked to move more and been more free to expand my ideas and creativity."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To give the sales consultants more of an incentive to work for. Keep things more interesting in the work place."

"I loved the job itself along with the work hours and flexibilty"

"Yes. Although I would never say anything terrible about the company, I would only emphasize that if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't."

"There is no room for growth there and no benefits package"

"If the company has a loyal employee, then it is best that they do their best at keeping her or him."
