"do not talk down to employees hire mature professional staff"

"I like the supportive staff and the opportunity to work around with in classroom setting."

"If you have an elementary education degree, don't settle for daycare positions. There's a reason you wanted to work with older children."
What don't you like about working at La Petite Academy?
"For a corporation they offer lousy healthcare and other benefits. I haven't yet worked 90 days so I don't qualify for anything anyways. I am getting paid $10 an hour, which doesn't seem fair compensation for such specialized work with children. (I will not make anywhere near $30,000, but the drop-down menu on the next page didn't give me any lower choices)"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would not let constantly violent and destructive children attend my school."
What do you like about working at Houston Independent School District?
"I love getting to work with and guide children every day."

"Be prepared to sacrifice all of your personal time (and a good chunk of your funds too!)"
What don't you like about working at Houston Independent School District?
"Administration is clueless about what it is actually like in the classroom. Teachers are overworked and underpaid, they force us to clear so many hurdles that it is difficult to do our actual job - TEACHING!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Respect time and resources of teachers, streamline and organize curriculum departments so teachers have a realistic plan of attack for each and every day with minimal behind-the-scenes (after hours, unpaid) work necessary"

"Getting paid. Helping Children. Learning new things. Paid summer vacation."

"Don't do it! If you are going to do it, then apply for cushy administrative position."
What don't you like about working at Memphis City Schools?
"The management... The hours... The lack of resources. The unfair pay. How I always feel behind the gun because my Administration never gives us anything on time. Unreasonable deadlines."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Employee centered. Give the workers and students what they need. Be more transparent. Be there..."

"Good luck, if you get called for an interview and when you get there the assist. Principal is not there and you call 20 times later he might tell you: yep...we got somebody and left early! No joke! No ethics at all and lacks complete professionalism! This what children shouldn't learn :("
What don't you like about working at Charter Schools USA?
"I am very disappointed. Disorganized, irresponsible, disrespectful...it is awful! They called a teacher for an interview and when she went to the interview the principal wasnt there then 5 hours later told her that the position that they had called her for had been filled! WOW! That's when I decided to move to another school. I felt so bad for her she was in tears."

"Please...hire responsible assistant principals that don't mock and humiliate people."

"I enjoy teaching. I love being with the students and teaching them. They are inspirational."

"I do not enjoy certain aspects of leadership within the organization. I feel that the leaders in the organization need more business skills."

"That management needs to be not so attached to the employees."

"I enjoyed educating adult learners, shaping their dreams into realities, and mentoring."

"Majority of ATI workers were able to talk their way through the door despite their experience and education."

"The management was driven by numbers despite student retention and academic achievement."

"I would recommend for managment to partake in the planning and educating of the students to gain awareness of what it takes to educate students."

"I like working with the children in my classroom and my co-work!ers, they are what keeps me coming to work for now!"

"I would ask the current employees at the center you apply at how they feel about the company, wish I would have asked before I started!"
What don't you like about working at KinderCare Learning Center?
"Lack of communication, no room for teacher creativity. Teachers often do not feel appreciated, even during Teacher appreciation week, all we got was a letter, and a bowl of fruit... this company brings in lots of money, come on now! Management often doesn't work with you as a team, they sit in the office and act as a dictator! No bathroom breaks! Just complete chaos!! RUN!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Pay attention to the needs of your employees, quit worrying so much about the money that you forget that we are not robots! Treat us with respect, we do the most important job, and that is taking care of tomorrows future! I understand money is part of it, but its not everything!"

"the kids, were a pleasure to be around every day."

"No vision, to guide and direct the decision seems they make it up as they see fit."
