"The L-3 AP&D is a small division therefore we have less rules and process like the big corporation and most of my project is challenging, high profile project."

"When the corporation take control there are too many processes to follow. It slow down the project."

"Its not a bad place to work, unless you are used to making your own decisions."

What don't you like about working at L-3?

"extremely controlling senior management requires approval for the types of decisions that are made a lower levels at other companies. Communication at Sr. levels seems to be limited which results in 3-4 approaches being taken by people on the same program as they support their functional boss over the program boss."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Embrace Cross Functional IPTs where personnel report to Program Managers for direction on business approach. You need to manage the expectations and goals of the Program Managers, and let them manage the people."
