"Great company with benefits that are way above industry standards. You and your family will be well taken care of. Organization is extremely flat, so your life is nearly 100% dictated by your manager. Could be a dream or a nightmare, just depends on your manager. Very bureaucratic and process driven. Don't expect to "just get it done". Must go through proper channels. Nothing but genuine love and respect for the owners of the company. They are generous and caring people."

"Software developing is a fun thing that I will never be tired of, it's a handcrafting art, my tools are my keyboard and my brain, with these two things we can build whatever we want. However, the coding for long hours without taking break does make you become emotional easily."

Being an International student and Interning at Kingston Technology and also going to school has always been exciting for me."

National Account Manager

"I worked at Kingston from April 1998-March 2012."

What do you like about working at Kingston Technology?

"Kingston is owned by two wonderful men. They allow people to take risks and try new things. When in the office employees are allowed to dress full casual. The owners truly respect their employees and trust that their employees have the best interest of the company in mind."

"To understand Kingston read the website and learn about John Tu and David Sun."

What don't you like about working at Kingston Technology?

"The management put in place does not have the passion or the vision of the owners. Kingston was started 25 years ago and the owners and original management had a driving passion and commitment. The current management does not have that hunger and allows the middle management to run many departments."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to take classes on how to manage people. The biggest mistake that Kingston has made is promoting people from within to management, and these people do not take the job to heart. To be a good manager, one must understand management principals and take courses. Many people in management think managing just means control. Managing means mentoring, guiding, helping people to grow in their roles."
