36 Construction Managers from Kimball Hill Homes submitted salaries.
Kimball Hill Homes, a privately-owned construction company founded by David K. Hill in 1969, stopped building homes and closed their doors for good in late 2008. This action came on the heels of a failed attempt to reorganize the company through Chapter 11 bankruptcy, as well as Hill's death from cancer in July 2008. The collapse of the housing market and the resulting tumult in the financial and credit markets were cited as the primary causes of the company's demise.
Based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, the company also had offices in numerous locations in Texas, Florida, California and Nevada. They had small operations in Ohio, Oregon and Wisconsin as well. As late as 2007, the organization had been cited as a Builder 100 construction company, closing on 3,246 homes that year. At the time of it's bankruptcy filing, the company had close to 500 employees in it's various locations.
Known for building housing communities, Kimball owned 66 communities at the time it ceased operations. These communities consisted of both single family homes and codominium units. As part of it's liquidation, the company committed to completing 450 homes that were in progress but was searching for buyers for the homes in inventory as well as over 3,700 raw lots waiting for development.
Due to the fact that the company is no longer in operation, there is no career information available for Kimball Hill Homes.
Director is the highest paying job at Kimball Hill Homes at $171,000 annually.
