Owners will also need to know how to perform tasks specific to running a business, like recruiting workers, doing general accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with regulations relevant to their sector of activity.

Education: No formal education is required to start many types of business, but a bachelor's degree or certificate in business management is a strong asset.
