Background:
- Based in the Gate Group Shared Service Centre in Belgrade, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated business controller to join the controlling team of Gate Gourmet Scandinavia.
Job Outline:
- Reporting to the Senior Business Controller, the Business Controller is responsible for providing financial support to the entire GG SCAN Business, which operates out of 7 sites throughout Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in preparation of monthly results, including calculation of accruals, production of detailed revenue and cost reports and general controlling tasks relating to P&L.
- Play an important role in reporting of revenues and costs both internally withing the SCAN organization and also in providing monthly reporting to regional and global teams.
- Maintain and improve reporting of customer profitability. Partner with operations teams in recording and requesting CAPEX approvals. Providing CAPEX tracking and reporting to group departments.
- Take the lead in calculating and submitting monthly KPI data on worked hours, FTE's, meals, flights etc.
- Be first point of contact for Network Unit General Managers (x4) throughout Scandinavia, and in providing general controlling support to the Network Units (GOT, MMX, BLL, BGO).
- Participate in preparation of the annual Forecast and Budget, including analysis, submission, and reporting of the detailed Budget P&L.
- Execute monthly costing runs in SAP that provide the basis of material costing and billing.
- Participate in ad-hoc information requests and projects as required.
Education:
- Bachelor University degree in finance or equivalent (either completed or working towards)
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is ideal but not essential.
- Must have advanced ability in Excel. Preferable to have experience of HFM/SAP.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience working in finance controlling in a fast-paced industry, preferably relating to manufacturing or logistics.
Personal qualities:
- Analytical minded, with the ability to streamline complex tasks and solve problems.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, with finance and non-finance people - both written and oral.
- Motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn the specifics of the industry.
