The Employee Health RN serves as a member of a multi-functional collaborative team that delivers quality care and services to caregivers of Adena Health System. This position will case manage caregiver illness, injury, or exposure to biological or other workplace hazards. The RN will administer appropriate immunizations and testing per protocol, provide respiratory fit testing, and ensure caregiver compliance with all Employee Health policies through education and communication with both caregivers and leaders. This position will be required to deliver services to all caregivers at all Adena sites and participate in a rotating weekend call assignment. Employee Health has access to highly confidential employee information and this position will represent Adena with the utmost integrity and professionalism at all times.

Required Educational Degree: Registered Nurse Curriculum; Current Ohio License

Major/Area of Concentration: Nursing

Required Certifications: Basic Life Support

Required Experience: 5 years in a clinical setting; Excellent computer skill with multiple applications

Preferred Experience: Occupational Health, Employee Health, Population Health, Infection Prevention

Job Essential Functions:

  • Works collaboratively with other team members to ensure appropriate staffing and clinic function
  • Plans mass events including: scheduling, oversight of staffing and supply coordination
  • Manages blood and body fluid exposures from initial incident to 6 month follow-up including mandatory tracking, recordkeeping and compliance
  • Manages caregiver exposure to all infectious diseases per policy; including notification and follow-up
  • Timely and accurate communication to caregivers and leaders
  • Maintains current knowledge of CDC guidelines and recommendations; applies knowledge in an ever-changing environment
  • Is proficient with all testing; can perform and teach others; ensures compliance with protocol
  • Gives appropriate immunizations per protocol
  • Performs Respiratory fit testing and provides caregiver education
  • Responsible for operations and compliance for one Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
