Job Description:
Our client, a reputable organization renowned for its care within the community over the past century, is dedicated to catering to vulnerable demographics, including at-risk children, elderly citizens, individuals living with chronic or debilitating illnesses, and those encountering end-of-life challenges.
The successful candidate will be tasked with offering expert nursing care whilst facilitating effective communication and promoting patient safety. Independent operation, organizational skills, and a devotion to confidentiality are key for this role. A background in home health care is advantageous.
Required Qualifications:
• An Associate degree or higher in a relevant field
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey (NJ)
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) credentials
• A minimum of 1-year experience in Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) and Home Health
• 1 year or more experience within a Burn Unit/Wound Clinic or dealing with Wound Care.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish are preferred
• Candidates seeking a full-time role are favored.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer direct or indirect skilled comprehensive nursing care to a diverse range of age and diagnostic groups
• Use nursing process principles for data collection planning, and evaluation
• Exhibit nursing knowledge and skills for implementing preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care
• Display effective interview techniques, establish boundaries and collect role-specific data
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare providers, third parties, patients, and families
• Ensure comfort and safety of the patients
• Monitor patients, document significant conditions and reactions, and alert the supervisor or Physician of the patient's status
• Respond effectively to critical situations following nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
• Effective written and oral communications to share crucial information with healthcare team members in a timely manner
Additional information:
• EMR: Home Care Home Base
• Equipment Provided: Tablet, Phone
Schedule and Shift Details:
• Shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with one weekend per month required
• Candidate should be willing to work one summer and one winter holiday
