This role is pivotal to our financial operations, providing strategic leadership and oversight to our accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with a particular focus on the construction industry. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional controller duties as necessary.
Job Details
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
- 5+ years of experience with end-to-end accounting process.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Strong leadership qualities and a team player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
