Clinical Operations
• Supervision of temporary employees and physicians providing specialty clinics e.g. on-site screening programs
• Responsible for the day to day running of assigned clinic, including ordering of all supplies
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with PB policy, federal and state regulations.
• Practice in a professional and friendly manner at all times.
• Provide telephonic medical guidance and supervision, as requested to fellow clinic staff members in the care of patients/employees.
• Provide telephonic medical guidance and supervision, as requested to Human Resources and Managers to PB locations without clinics. Coordinate with Health Department, as necessary
• Assess the health status of employee/patients through interview, complete health histories, physical examination and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret clinical and diagnostic findings to determine appropriate disposition and appropriate therapeutic measures.
• Provide acute, immediate care to employee/patients for occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries.
• Provide, and coordinate care to employee/patients with chronic health conditions, not to replace their Primary Care Physician.
• Maintain current knowledge of health care research in order to deliver best practice evidence-based medicine. Develop a plan of care based on identified needs and acute and chronic health problems.
• Refer the employee/patient to his/her primary care provider, specialist or emergency department as appropriate in the management of their health problem.
• Provide emergency treatment per protocols until ambulance transport arrives.
• Contribute to the development of clinic policies, procedures and protocols.
• Perform on site CLIA waived testing including: EKG, vision testing, finger stick glucose testing, urine dipstick testing, fluorescein eye testing, Quick Strep A testing, Quick Flu testing, Urine Pregnancy testing.
• Perform tests to be sent to the laboratory: urine drug testing, throat cultures, venipuncture for blood specimens.
• Complete appropriate paperwork for work related injuries/illnesses.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director Consultant and Clinic Director on special projects and carrying out the objectives of the Employee Medical Wellness Clinics.
• Collaborate with other departments (absence management, safety, human resources, and facilities) within Pitney Bowes for the improved health and safety of all employees.
• Document all employee/patient encounters and in the EMR.
• Refer to EAP and other appropriate specialists as needed.
• Maintain current CPR and AED training.
• Special projects, as assigned
• Ability to work in CT clinics, as needed
• Ability to travel to other PB locations for medical outreach, on occasional basis, and provide medical guidance at corporate sales function (annual).
Wellness
• Implement Wellness Programs on site in a timely manner.
• Take an active role as the primary Health and Wellness ambassador (Wellness Champion) for the location including promoting site specific, national, and international Wellness Programs.
• Participate in Wellness Champion conference calls, surveys, share and post marketing materials from the monthly Wellness Champion email.
• Collaborate as needed in development and implementation of Medical/Wellness Initiatives. Program assistance may include, One in a Million Day Walk Event, Biometric Screenings, Cancer Initiatives, Tobacco Cessation, Health Videos, Diabetes Initiatives, Hypertension Programs, Back Health Programs.
• Perform health and wellness screenings and follow up counseling to employee/patients.
• Provide disease management counseling (Hypertension, Diabetes program LWWD) and risk reduction counseling (tobacco treatment and weight loss - Change One).
• Develop relationships with local physicians as resources for specialty clinic providers and patient referrals.
• Promote all monthly wellness activities to employee/patients during clinic visits
• Create and update health education displays to promote healthy behaviors to all employees and clinic patients.
• Promote National Wellness Programs for employee/patients
• Promote and support the EAP Program
• Create and support team environment with wellness and clinic staff.

• Successful completion of degree from a nursing program.
• Active Connecticut License, DEA license.
• Current BLS/AED certification
• Active Blood borne Pathogen training
• Active HIPPA training
• Knowledge of EMR, PowerPoint and Excel
