DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and conduct regular field observations/site visits of the MEPF construction work to ensure that it aligns with the approved construction drawings and specifications
- Verify that the materials used and the installation methods employed meet the specified standards and requirements
- Review the field installation of MEPF design systems to ensure the intent of the project specifications and construction drawings were met
- Examine and adequately understand project scope, project specifications and design intent for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and related construction documents
- Review and process contractors’ submittals
- Review and respond to RFIs with the assistance from the design team, if needed
- Create Field Reports, maintain and file records in timely manner
- Document all site visits activities while evaluating the progress
- Cross collaborates with all business lines and ensuring compliance to all timeframe
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENTENCIES:
- Proven track record for completing tasks with excellent time management skills
- Critical thinking skills with ability to analyze, interrupt data
- Advanced attention to detail with excellent verbal and technical writing skills
- Ability to coordinate and work collaboratively across all lines of business
TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of Field Wire, preferred
- Working knowledge in Bluebeam
- Proficient in MS Office to include, Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Outlook
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
- Recent experience in construction MEP related field
- Working knowledge in Bluebeam
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Must be able to lift 60lbs
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to pass background and drug screen
- Travel is required
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Environment: Work is performed mainly in an indoor and outdoor setting with exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions, and travel from site to site
- Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit prolonged periods of time; occasional stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; to travel to other locations
- Must be able to complete safety training for any job site as required by the General Contractor in charge of the job site
