Job Description:

Performs intermediate level specialized computer numerical control (CNC) machinist work for Structure Medical, LLC. Operates CNC machines to run production per approved schedule provided. Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude. Position exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. \n EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.\n\nResponsible for setting up and operating CNC machines; performs preventative maintenance on machines\nReceives the released setup and verifies that everything is correct (travelers, tooling, programs, gages, etc.)\nRecommends process improvements to resolve problems\nFills out proper paperwork per job\nReceives process travelers, verifies that the components are correct, and closes them out\nProblem solves any issues that affect efficient production; recommends process improvements\nPerforms first piece inspection once setup is completed\nChecks parts according to inspection plans\nVerifies correct tools against tool sheet and program\nAdjusts tools to meet blueprint specifications\nAdjusts machine controls or control media; verifies the correct program is running properly\nReplaces tooling on machines\nSets up and operates machines on a trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data\nTakes corrective action to bring units into specification; places the correct colored tag on units that are out of specification (OOS); reports OOS to Quality personnel\nCoordinates with Quality department to ensure that units comply with specifications\nComplies with and maintains inspection procedure throughout production runs\nEnsures work area, machine, tooling and parts are cleaned regularly and free from excess oil deposits; maintains a clean work area around assigned machines\nMaintains good quality and production output\nLabels parts and sends to the next operation in the process\nDemonstrates ability to streamline processes to increase productivity and quality; ensures that production and prototype jobs are set up consistently and accurately in a timely manner\nCleans and assembles all collet assemblies; removes or replaces fixtures, collets and tools; inspects old collets and guide bushings\nAssists fellow machinists, as needed\n\n Pay Range:\n\n$26-$33/hr\n
