RN JOB POSITION
Role and Responsibilities (Duties include, but are not limited to the following)
- Responsible for mixing chemotherapy.
- Responsible for administering chemotherapy treatments to patients and ensuring their comfort during the chemo process.
- Nurses administer chemotherapy, implement new methods of symptom treatment and monitors patients' progress. Oncology nurses must be prepared to work with patients who have been diagnosed with life-threatening conditions.
- The occupation requires emotional stability to help patients and their families work through the treatment process and cope with death if treatment fails.
- Must be able to work at the Alexandria office location & the Winnsboro office location.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- No experience necessary
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and patients in-person, over the phone, or via email.
- Advanced computer skills. Knowledge of computer systems and pharmacy applications (Mckesson, Asembia, Cardinal, OncoEMR, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc)
- General understanding of billing and coding as related to coinsurance, copays, and collectibles.
- Overall knowledge and basic understanding of clinical operations a plus
- Ability to collect, organize, report on and maintain data, as well as establish and maintain records
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports, and correspondence.
- HIPAA Compliance.
