- Experience working in primary care or urgent care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Experience using eClinical Works.
- Experience coordinating clinic services and operations.
Job Description
Texas State University Health Services is seeking a PART-TIME Benefit-Eligible Nurse Practitioner for its ambulatory health care facility serving college students on the San Marcos Campus.
Job Duties
- Provide primary medical care to eligible students within the scope of family medicine.
- and following the standard of care for an advanced practice nurse.
- Document patient encounters in an Electronic Health Record.
- Assign accurate Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes for patient visits to support the filing of health insurance claims.
- Consult with supervising physician when appropriate and make referrals to other health care providers as necessary.
Additional Information to Applicants
This PART-TIME BENEFIT ELIGIBLE position is expected to work at least 3 days a week.
