In the role you will have the opportunity to:
- Design and develop tailored AI solutions to meet our organization's specific needs. Ensure the compatibility, scalability, privacy-preservation, compliance, and security of AI systems.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation to deployment.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring that AI initiatives are implemented successfully and within budget.
- Work closely with teams within IT and across the organization to understand requirements and develop AI solutions.
- Actively participate in technical committees, user committees, and faith-based AI communities.
- Collaborate with existing teams of application developers, solutions designers, and database administrators to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into our organization's IT infrastructure.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to existing IT staff, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to support and maintain AI solutions in the long term.
- Develop and retain a deep understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technologies.
- Provide AI expertise in defining budgets, frameworks, and policies.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience (15 years) in designing and developing custom software solutions, preferably with a focus on AI and machine learning or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- General knowledge of relevant programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Working knowledge of generative models such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), or Transformers.
- Working knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAGs) and vector databases.
- Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle.
- Thorough knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and generative models.
- Ability to implement privacy-preserving techniques and ensure data security in AI systems.
- Continuous learning mindset with a commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate and explore new possibilities in AI technology.
