The Post Anesthesia Care Units at MGH are comprised of 7 individual critical care areas dedicated to the care of adult and pediatric patients preceding and immediately following surgery and/or procedures requiring anesthesia. Highly experienced, diverse & supportive group of critical care clinicians in a dynamic, multi-specialty surgical environment with room to learn and grow.

We currently have exciting opportunities for Advanced Practice Providers to work in our PACU. Ideally, we are looking for full-time staff with a schedule of 40 hours per week comprised of 13-hour day/evening shifts (7am or 9am, rotating start). We offer limited Saturday rotation (every 12 weeks); No holiday rotation or overnights. Unfortunately no new Grads.

  • Current active licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant
  • Certification from a national certifying body acceptable to the Board of Registration in Nursing as an adult/family/or acute care nurse practitioner with NP or RN ICU experience of no less than 3 years; or
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) with acute care experience of no less than 3 years.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Critical care appropriate thinking and clinical judgment skills
