"I have worked in Intertek Mexico for almost 3 years. I have learnt a lot of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification projects). So, I consider that the experiences that I have are priceless."

"I’ve worked at this company for 3.5 years. It’s been amazing and I have achieved so much in such little time which of reflected through global recognition and promotions. However it is now time for a new challenge."

"I would not think of recommending this company to anyone. All Intertek seems to care about is the current month's revenue. The company is too cheap for its own good. I witnessed new lab employees getting 4+-year-old laptops. Some of the stuff was so old, people could not even do their job effectively. I was once denied a $20 USB thumb drive because my manager at the time wanted some other group to pay for it. The IT infrastructure in many US locations is obsolete and goes down more often then it should: Few managers want to spend money on hardware or the people to support it. Nothing but fire drills to get systems back up and running with the business screaming at you because they could not do their job. In the Information Technology Department, there is no room for advancement. There is not even an allocated budget for IT training. Pay is not great. Raises are minimal. One year, they even screwed me out of most of my bonus. In many cases, when Intertek acquired another company, IT management refused to insist that the acquisition integrates into the central IT support model. This not only resulted in shadow IT groups within the business that basically did what they wanted to, but it ended up costing Intertek a fortune in the long run which no one seemed to care about as there was no immediate expense for the integration. During my tenure, upper IT management didn't seem to have a clue on how the "real world" worked. They often just hired people they favored from jobs they had held at other companies ... and they didn't even try to cover up the fact that this was happening. I applied for one internal job and during my interview was told that the job was already filled by someone who they presumably just found by canvassing the internet. The stress is enormous and they just throw you away when they are done with you. Please don't work here unless you are truly desperate for the money!"

"The company has many financial issues, starting from the CEO and the leadership of every Intertek location. There is no bonus for the employees or salaries raise and there is not room for growth. They do not train you to use Ariba, or any other invoices system. Employees are given a lot of job duties, but the company does not give you a document with your job descriptions, and most of their managers are men and white. No room for diversity. A clueless CEO that has the nerve to talk about growth in a video with Coldplay music in it and with no plans for the future, no strategy, and he does not even mention how the tax reform will affect the company and can benefit us. He did not even have a PowerPoint presentation with numbers and explanations for the new upcoming year goals. They give you too much work with no training and what is worse, unrealistic deadlines. They do not pay you your overtime and they will make you erase your overtime from your time sheet. The technology and the facilities look like a third world country company!"

"Horrible place for a career, great place for fast pace and long hours to refine skills learned in school. Zero positive motivation, threatened with job loss if you question management. Moral throughout Chicago (Romeoville) office is at the lowest level possible. I believe problem stems from upper management, GM is in several employees opinion bringing this location to it knees. Continuous video monitoring of lab personal has dropped this place lower in many current employee opinions. This location is toxic and to be avoided at all costs!!!!"
