Sales Executive

"Encouraging initially, but sitting in on the weekly meetings on Monday were a drag."

What do you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"I like the good training and support team, and the system in place currently."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do your homework and get all the facts up front. Also they do have what could be called a retirement type account that they fund, but you have to be there 11 years for any vesting; any less and it is completely gone."

What don't you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"I thought I was going in as an independent agent where I could work the hours I want and not work days or hours, as long as I would be doing a good job. Then you find out they have mandatory Monday 10 a.m. meetings that you have to at least make around 45 or so a year, but then they institute mandatory training Fridays if you are not making the numbers they feel you should. Let's see, meetings Monday and Friday, so much for taking a long weekend. Those are not the restrictions I want as an independent agent. Hence the word Independent Insphere."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I was not really there long enough for much comment. They seem supportive. I would suggest they mention to new hires their Monday/Friday requirements. Seriously, I've been a healthcare project manager for 15 years and I avoided booking standing weekly meetings on Monday and Friday because guess what People tend to take those two days off. Why not have both on a Tues/Wed or Thursday, rather than have people drag themselves in twice a week to the office. It might feel more like a midweek break from the grind of walkabouts, i.e., nice term for cold-calling."

"Great experience."

What do you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"It is very fast-paced and busy. I have to make a lot of decisions on my own and work independently."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"They need to know that the position will always be 20 hours a week."

What don't you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"My job was only part-time and will never be full time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Try to make the position full-time. They would keep the office manager a lot longer."

"Shady business practices encouraged."

What do you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"You can make your own hours and be your own boss. There are no strict quotas placed on you."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you have an iron will to sell, don't mind a little dishonesty, and have no family or friends to spend time with, this job is for you. Remember though, you will have to chase management around to get what you need. This is not an easy job AT ALL."

What don't you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"We were encouraged to trick people into buying life insurance and supplemental health. The sales process was shady at best: 1. After an unsuspecting customer goes looking for information online, we get their information as a sales lead. 2. Call them and insist on meeting face-to-face. If they ask for the quotes, confuse them on purpose. 3. Present life, health, supplementals, and other services as one large item. Only give them a single price, making it seem like they have to buy it. 4. Sign them up, and be sure it's done via automatic bank draft."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be honest about the job when hiring. I was told that we were going to be given people to call, we'd get paid twice a week, and that the pay was obscene. In reality, you only get maybe five leads. After that, you have to cold-call people and bother people on the street. Pay for health was not twice a week, but once a month. And payments seldom materialized, as you only get paid if someone qualifies, even after they've paid their first premium."

"Doing research is a plus for any person looking for employment."

What don't you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"Training and leadership was not what was promised to me."

What do you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"I like the freedom to run my own business and deal with customers individually and in a personal way."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Know that their turnover is about 70%. Be prepared to demand everything you need to do the job (training) within the first week. If they don't comply, politely decline to work for them. They prey on new agents (who don't know the score), so you might pull an existing one aside and ask what to expect."

What don't you like about working at Insphere Insurance Solutions?

"I dislike hierarchy carrying negative overtones about how something should be handled when they didn't provide their method for carrying out a presentation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If you're going to hold the hand (as promised) of each employee, don't decide that one person needs any more or less training than another one. Because a person was your friend outside the job doesn't mean they aren't just another employee once they're on the payroll."
