"Good company, bad management. Managers are not honest about the future of project and company with their team members."

"I worked in the Digital Promotions Network. I liked the members of the team on a professional and personal level. The department places high demands on software developers and expects them to make immediate contributions, which is challenging with a large codebase to learn. It is possible to work remote, but I'm not sure it's the best place to work remote for the first time."

"The company is private-equity owned, poorly managed, and chaotic."

What do you like about working at Inmar?

"My coworkers and immediate management were positive. It was a good day-to-day environment."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Inmar is a cyclical employer. They will hire a large number of people, and then lay them off or terminate their contracts with short notice. They are also dishonest: they will tell you that you are vital to the organization and that your job is safe, and then lay you off the next week. If you take this job, make sure you view it as short term, even if you are hired full-time. The company is owned by a private equity firm, and they are all about making the numbers look better."

What don't you like about working at Inmar?

"The upper management was not responsive to concerns and suggestions from below. Due dates were dictated downwards rather than developed collaboratively. The physical working environment was not good for heads down work, which betrayed the company's focus on managerial tasks (meetings, planning, process) over actually getting work done."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to the people you have hired to do a job, and value their input. If you don't have software to sell, you don't have a business. Furthermore don't allow your salespeople to sell features that the software doesn't actually have. It leads to low morale in the technology teams, high staff turnover, and missing deadlines (because salespeople promise the moon)."
