What do you like about working at Indymac Bank?
I really enjoyed the training I received. They were very thorough and wanted to ensure everyone was trained on how to do their job.
What don't you like about working at Indymac Bank?
The industry itself is very volatile and changes with the economy. It is not a stable profession unfortunately but that is also what makes it exciting. You hardly ever deal with the same thing twice.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Promotions from within needed more consideration.

This was a great company with a lot of growth potential if you knew that right people.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Unfortunately the company no longer exists.

What do you like about working at Indymac Bank?
I enjoyed the structure of the bank. From the point of intake of an application through the close, the jobs were distributed well.
What don't you like about working at Indymac Bank?
As with most mortgage industry jobs, the compensation and/or expectation of work output was unrealistic.
What suggestions do you have for management?
More perks for employees since the compensation wasn't that great. A balance of employees to work load need to be analyzed when peak times hit.

What do you like about working at Indymac Bank?
I didn't work for New York Mortgage Company, I worked for Indymac Bank, FSB. I can only speak to my experiences with Indymac.
What don't you like about working at Indymac Bank?
Very demanding work schedule, not for everyone.
What suggestions do you have for management?
None - I enjoyed working with each manager I had the pleasure of being assigned to.

Hard work but worth it

If you're not afraid of hard work and long hours, this is the place to be (Indymac).

What do you like about working at Indymac Bank?
The managers were really good and there was room for growth.
What don't you like about working at Indymac Bank?
That they went out of business.

I love working at IndyMac Bank. They have gone out of business which is why I statrted contracting.
