HR coordinators are responsible for many of the inner workings of companies. HR coordinators are typically in charge of the workforce of an organization. They deal with recruiting, hiring, and training new employees. Payroll, employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and other employee related administrative details are usually handled by HR coordinators.


Skillset: HR coordinators are responsible for the completion of many tasks, so these professionals need to be organized, and they need to be able to multi-task. HR coordinators have to interact with many people on a daily basis, so exceptional interpersonal skills are vital.


Education: Prospective HR coordinators need to obtain at least a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, social sciences, or a similar field. Special attention should be paid to computer and software skills, as well as to communication abilities.


Career Path: HR coordinators rely on their abilities to organize and multi-task. Superior written and verbal communication skills are a must, and computer skills are also important. These talents can all be honed while pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher. An internship is also a great way to get on-the-job experience.
