"The experience I had while I was working at this company was great, I got switched to a different department which I liked. The problem came when a 3 week training was cramped into 3 days to know everything that is needed to know about a specific client GBS serves, also this particular dept. tells you if you need help to ask, so when you ask for the help the supervisor answers with a short response making you feel like your incompetent of doing your duties or roles. Point in case the supervisor is the bad apple in this department."

"I worked for Gallagher Bassett for 7 years as a Senior Resolution Manager handling Workers' Compensation claims. Gallagher Bassett is a third party Administrator. My previous employer was an insurance carrier. At the carrier we had entire departments devoted to calculating wages, doing forms, handling no lost time or limited periods of disability and a unit to set up the files after being reported by our customers. At GB in addition to the job duties as an adjuster, we had to calculate our own wages from raw data, set up checks, and set up files. Everything was expected to be done timely which was not always possible."

"Fire them all and start over, they're very discourteous, unprofessional."

"How many people will you burn out before you realize they are not the problem"

"I was a temp at GB. I worked well with my supervisor and the other supervisors if mine was not available. I felt that the work that I did was appreciated and I was told that I was a hard worker. I really liked the hands off approach. I was not micromanaged."

"Not really. As a temp, I was not interviewed before I started. My resume was reviewed and I started work the following Monday."

What don't you like about working at Gallagher Bassett Services?

"I did not like that it was located 40 miles from my home and the only way to get there was by driving. I also did not like that there was one employee (who sat two cubes away from me) who was so loud when she spoke on the phone. I literally had to wear ear plugs just to hear myself think and to concentrate."

"The ability to get information to us or the ability to do our work took awhile because of technical malfunctions."

"Faster technical assistance at a quicker rate and a longer time. New servers and bandwidth."

"Understand that it is not a level playing field in terms of opportunties. I guess GB is no different than any other organization."

"Morale was extremely low when I left and from what I understand, it is getting worse."

"Stop off-shoring jobs and return those to the states. Also, provide staff with as many tools as possible to get the job done."
