"I've worked for Essilor for 3 years and I have enjoyed most of my time with them so far. A lot of the work I do can be difficult to understand. I didn't get much training in the beginning so I had to learn everything on my own."

Data Analytics Intern

"As a Data Analytics Intern, my key responsibilities were to understand and analyze data in Customer Master Data Management, build reports and data models conforming to the data governance standards and policies. As a team player, the opinion of every member was counted as the perception towards data was different for every team. I primarily worked with the Essilor Preferred Rewards team. The experience involved interaction with sales and marketing executives who are in direct contact with Eyecare professionals. It got me closer to the crux of our vision care goal. The best thing about this experience was that I was involved in key decision-making steps and felt like a valued member of the team. Additionally, I got to participate in Speed Mentoring Event with top Executives at Essilor. It was an insightful and refreshing experience to learn about their journeys and their mission on bringing people together to fight for this cause. I was provided with an exciting opportunity to witness the World Sight Day campaigns in the month of October."

"I worked for Essilor of America for a little under a year. Essilor is one of the largest lens providers in the world with pioneer lens coating technology Crizal. Essilor also established the Essilor Vision Foundation which helps provides free eye exams and prescription lenses to children around the world who otherwise would not be able to afford them. While my time was short, it was enjoyable with very few negatives."

"Worked for 2 years. Very dynamic company with lots of opportunities. Very lean and the work life balance not present in some areas of the organization. It is a French company and the top level of the company is rarely diverse."

"The company promotes a good work-life balance but it is difficult to get projects implemented due to limited resources and knowledge transfer. Layoffs occur often and are extremely unexpected due to bad investments and constant reorganization. Unfortunately, I was impacted after my return from maternity leave."

"Company is based on a charge back PM model. Too many chiefs and not enough people on the floor. Talent is not valued and respectfully challenged, only blamed when things go south. Upper management enjoys big bonuses at all costs. IT has evolved into a sweat shop. Extremely poor leadership especially in IT."
