What do you like about working at EMC?

"The software I support comes with its own front end systems but offers various ways to expand the system. I enjoy helping customers who have found creative ways to utilize the software with their existing systems using web service calls and other methods to get the results and functionality they need. I especially enjoy when they are finding some odd, quirky behavior that I can help smooth out by reviewing their code that communicates with our software or write my own code to test a suspected issue."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you get hired, always be confident in what you say or say you will need to find out before giving an answer. Both the customer and management would appreciate it if you know what you are talking about or are willing to find the answers needed. Don't guess."

What don't you like about working at EMC?

"Support can also be very repetitive. Especially with new releases where you might see a period of time where the same issues get reported over and over by different customers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Understand the current processes and personal attributes of a team before making drastic changes that disrupt the current makeup of the team."
