Financial Representative

"no accountability; bait and switch by management; I could go on and on and on."

What do you like about working at Country Financial?

"not much to like about working for this company. I was highly qualified, and the new agent school was ridiculous."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't work for this company. They will require you to gather a list of 100 friends and relatives who you can telemarket at your CAL school. Most agents will not make it past year one, so in this way COUNTRY is hiring many new agents guaranteeing new clients."

What don't you like about working at Country Financial?

"Agency manager was not held accountable for statements made that led to me accepting the position. Life insurance units don't mean much - it is the whole life insurance that you will have to sell and there is a lot of pressure to convert your term life insurance clients to whole life. Based upon the client's needs, of course.....Also, up to a 33% reduction in monthly base pay if you do not meet benchmarks. Also stick you with a 2 year agreement for a wireless aircard. Up to 33% reduction in base pay for not meeting benchmarks"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Follow up with ethical concerns of employees. Get real about differences in market locations regarding benchmarks and production standards."

Country Financial Employee

"Got a friend in high places You'll go far here, no matter how incompetent you are."

What do you like about working at Country Financial?

"Great fellow employees, but that really could be found anywhere. Honestly, this company is hard to work for. I don't agree ethically with how they run business."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Just don't. Go anywhere else. It's a job, yes, but it will frustrate you, and you will not get the proper accolades here."

What don't you like about working at Country Financial?

"If you are in upper management, this would be the best company in the world to work for...you could do whatever you want and not have to worry about consequences. Want to sexual harass someone here Just be upper management, and you'll be rewarded with a promotion, and everything is swept under the rug."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Start over. Promoting your good buddies over more qualified individuals is poor business. It's pathetic."

Agent

"Opportunity is there for a career driven only person"

What do you like about working at Country Financial?

"The opportunity to make a great living is there. If you are a hard worker willing to sacrifice your personal schedule and life, you will be more successful. There was some flexibility to your schedule, but that is where a person not disciplined can get into trouble. You have to be a self starter, there is no babysitting, and if you are willing to take it upon yourself to be held accountable, you will find its great."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Look yourself hard in the mirror, and ask yourself if you are dedicated enough to work 60+ hours a week, calling friends and family to solicit sales, and are willing to sacrifice your personal life to get your career started. If you are, then its a good company, if you are a person that cares what everyone else thinks about you, its not a job for you."

What don't you like about working at Country Financial?

"In order to be successful, there is a lot of sacrifice, and it is hard on family if you are expected to be around. You need to put in 60 hours plus a week prospecting, networking, and cold calling to have a chance, and if you can't dedicate that time you will not be successful. You will also be expected to call friends and family to sell them products, and most likely you will lose some friends that don't want to be sold anything."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do not paint a pretty picture about how rich you can be, be hard and brutally honest on how hard it is to be successful. The amount of time and sacrifice that will be required was not stressed in my interview, instead I was built up to believe it would be easy to make 150K+ and have fun doing it. Also, stress how leads and cold calling works, if a prospective agent can't see themselves calling strangers and getting shot down 90% of the time, then don't hire these people, I saw this frequently."

IT Services Intern

"Good place to work though age of employees were all much older than myself"

What don't you like about working at Country Financial?

"Great products to sell but you get very little in return for the time put in to make yourself a success."

What do you like about working at Country Financial?

"The products. Country has a full line of products to sell including, property and casualy, life and health, financial products, commercial insurance, business insurance, etc."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Spend a day with an actual agent to see if it something you would be interested in doing."

What don't you like about working at Country Financial?

"It was a captive agency so the agents do not own their book of business. No form of retirement program for agents."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Consider offering a retirement program for all the agents."

Account Underwriter

What do you like about working at Country Financial?

"flexibility"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"conservative company, very solid...think protocol when answering questions, but be innovative as well"

What don't you like about working at Country Financial?

"pay doesn't seem competitive"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"perhaps a wage analysis based on the region rather than the home office would be of use"

Agent

"Great place to work!"

What do you like about working at Country Financial?

"Meeting new people and helping them fill holes with their insurance needs"

Informatica Developer

"Wonderful company and an excellent opportunity. Would have loved to work there full time."

What do you like about working at Country Financial?

"Country Wide gave me a solid opportunity for growth and was a wonderful place for me to jump start my future. It offered me a great environment with friendly people around me in which I was able to help the team in numerous ways. I enjoyed working for the company in all aspects."

What don't you like about working at Country Financial?

"My only negative upon working for Country Wide Financial was working as a contractor. I would rather have a full-time position if possible although I would be open to being a contractor. I feel as if being a contractor is somewhat negative, because it doesn't give me the opportunity to settle down with 1 full time position."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There isn't much management would be able to do but I would suggest the ability to be hired on a full time basis as opposed to as a contractor."
