What do you like about working at Wipro?
As long as you have valid visa they will make sure you work for 10-15hrs a day. This is a technical resource management company who excel in developing younger work force in offshore who are not part of IT from educational background, however are hard workers and willing to pick the skill of trade. At onsite they need people who are technically good (this is not always the case); and choose to live in US for personal reason. Company provides no training what so ever to your self development and you will not have energy to do so after the number of hours you put in every day.
What don't you like about working at Wipro?
Number of working hours because majority of work force don't know what they are doing. Company is full wanna be managers and handful of actual workers. They carry Indian work culture not the good aspects of it, only those inherited from frustration due to lack of pay and not taking care of employees.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Don't hire Indian students who come to US for a better life, because your company stands against all the principle upon which america was built (intellectual freedom, and respect for human life with equality).
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Wipro consulting practice headed by american management in spite of being indian company which is comparable to other american companies. So if you are interviewing with them its ok. Otherwise any recruiter will be just looking for some one who can be a mouth piece for people working in their offshore centers.

What do you like about working at Wipro?
Wipro was at the time the worlds largest outsourcing company. All of my customers were huge multinationals. Wiopro had all the support I needed and knew how to get the job done. Also they were aware of their prestige and worked to maintain it. For that reason alone they had offices in Silicon Valley California. It was neat to do a 'Meet and Greet' two blocks away from Google.
What don't you like about working at Wipro?
Wipro wanted me more for my customer service skills and as an American face for their Indian company, than for my technical skills. I was told that there were plenty of coders in India and they did not need me writing code. I did design documents and requirements documents and then signed off on what the team in India produced. I also did a lot of translating between the developers and the customers.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Actually I think Wipro is a well managed company at all levels. You do not get that big without doing it right.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
There are certain cultural differences between Americans and Indians. Besides the obvious - language, diet, etc - India is a country where labor is a cheap resource. It is common for their solutions to involve throwing more people at the problem. They also have a tendancy to fly fast a lose with deadlines. It is kind of "It will get done when it gets done" mindset.

What suggestions do you have for management?
My suggestion is all employees should be united at work, then only it is beneficial to the company as well as to the employees in their career growth and we can achieve the deadlines easily. co-operation is needed from every employee. Give some suggestions to the fresher's how then can grow their career.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
The main tip I can say to any person, whatever the company may be, who is attending for the Interview, first of all the candidate should wish the Interviewer the he should be confident when he is talking with the interviewer and at the same time he should have positive attitude. The candidate should be well dressed and there should be an eye to eye contact at the time of interview. The candidate should have good verbal and communication skills. Try to impress the interviewer, like whatever the answer you say should be confident and in a positive attitude. If the candidate follow these tips he/she will definitely succeed in their interviews.

1.Long working Hours. 2.No time for personal life. 3.Salaries were very low as compared to Market. 4.Internal hikes were poor.

1.Lets make it a win-win Situation for all by making it a better place to work even for Experienced resources. 2.Remove 9.5Hrs of mandatory attendance, it's not a school. 3.Long hours of work doesn't work for long. 4.Thanks for providing such wide range of experience and exposure.

Very good company for initial couple of yrs of your career. Work satisfaction is very high. Get exposure to clients and different kinds of work.Great place to learn about processes.Very good place if you want to learn and grow in life.

What do you like about working at Wipro?
provides various opportunities for growth. Ever since i joined Wipro as a fresher i have been able to learn and implement in a much quicker way than what fresh engineers do elsewhere. The extra hours of work that you put in makes you feel confident of finishing any job. Overall its a good place to learn and develop a career
What don't you like about working at Wipro?
compensation. but that's what you could expect from a services company. Some HR policies are really worse.

Team spirit is what builds and binds wipro, continue the same.

Be open to working late hours as this may be required as part of the services the company provides. Be open to travel, Helps in having multitude of skills in a specific field than being a master of one particular skill in that field (Services..)

What do you like about working at Wipro?
Motivation to get more certifications. I completed two certifications. Motivation in use of new technologies and different domains. Chances to get onsite opportunity by the new onsite-offshore rotation idea.
What don't you like about working at Wipro?
WIPRO is excellent working place, and it all depends on the personal experience of an individual about his likes and dont's. As far as my concern i was good at wipro.
What suggestions do you have for management?
It would be great if managements get involved if not with individual level at least with 3 to 5 member group level so that the developer / sr developer may get a chance to get motivated or to provide their ideas.

We have on-site experience in the client location. This opportunity provides to work with customers and trading partners closely.

We don't have much trainings. We do have limited vacations, salary increments, employee oriented programs and progression.
