"This is "the company" to work for in the waste and the environmental sector. Highly ethical, highly motivated to do right things and still make a profit for all stakeholders. They take good care of their employees and provide as stable and safe a work environment as possible."

"I worked for waste management for 5 years and always was a top performer. Once you were able to sell in this role they would manipulate your commissions so you wouldn’t make a lot of money. Clearly unethical. The managers were like little dictators and knew nothing about what our day-to-day role was. Once you show them you don’t need management to be successful they start the process of trying to get rid of these types of employees. Overcharging customers and feeding their stick-marked agendas."

"Waste Management is a great company to work for. However, it is extremely hard to get advancements. The company is competitive with initial salary packages. Most people that work there are comfortable and happy so there is not a lot of turn around."

"I’ve worked for WM for 2 years as a gas Technician. The job and the people are absolutely awesome. I had a good relationship with my boss however the workload to pay was not balanced. Everyone makes more money than you do and you are constantly busting yours but. Good stepping stone job to get experienced though"

"If you are thinking about going to this site, you’ll work 12-14 hours per day, have endless hours of paper work to do and have lots of tedious time demands. Doing this job requires constant engagement and you have to be involved from start to finish. That’s about as factual as I can be. But now, for my opinion. You will be incredibly under paid for those hours since you are on salary. Their organizational plan depends on manager attrition because the workforce is more likely to do favors for new people. The majority of your fellow managers will cheat to look like they win. Expect them to look to you to falsify documents. Only a handful of managers make it past a year. About 1/10. If you have a big ego, you might survive. But you’ll have to tolerate your vacations being cancelled. I think they are about 30 years behind the rest of civilized business at this site. I’d like to say better things, but there’s a lot of change needed there"
