On average the engineering core is working over 55 hours/week with increased work loads expected soon but no new people will be hired."

"The pay, while it lasted. Other factors were extremely difficult to quantify."

"Excuse yourself and get out of there before you are also black-balled. Should have hired a lawyer who could get some restitution. TRW Management neglected to establish the structure which was needed to encompass a state-wide project, which lacked the necessary structure and proper uniformity to cover the wide expanse of a statewide communications system which we were attempting to configure."

What don't you like about working at TRW Automotive?

"I was terminated after only 5 months by a visiting executive who did not even know my name or what I did! Being a contractor consultant, I packed up my old motorhome and headed 1,000 miles back to my shack in southwest Nebraska, and I have not been able to find employment in approximately ten years, perhaps because I may have been black-balled, coupled with the Obama recession looming over the entire country."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quantify the capabilities of the working class, and implement a much-needed structure, which was missing."

"This was my first job after acquiring my Master's Degree. Left the east coast to embark upon a great career in southern CA."

"I loved this company. Wish that I had stayed a little longer to gain more experience."

"Management should give more opportunities to junior analysts and trust that they can make sound decisions."

"The engineering manager was a boss, not a leader, ordered without sense of organization nor plan and was always screaming and blaming all the personnel, he feels he is the only one right."

"This division would be really good for starters, because you will learn big time, also as it is very demanding you would have no problem to get a new job."

What don't you like about working at TRW Automotive?

"The bad thing about TRW VSSI is that everybody fears the engineering manager, nobody wants to confront even though he is not right... the bad thing is that this guy makes everybody feel stupid."

"Empower people and place organization and as real as possible timelines and plans for better execution... also implement a balanced scorecard that showcases the results gained."

"Focus on cost reduction and bring those experiences to the table if you want to get hired. That is #1 focus here."

"Lack of resources and poor facilities (buildings are old). No career progression (limited options). High attrition. Heavy focus on off-shoring."

"Start with a better strategic roadmap. Think longterm 5+ years, not quarter to quarter. Poor strategic vision and high focus on cost reduction only."
