What do you like about working at Tata Consultancy Services?
They love you so much that you cannot resign the company when onsite like working in US, agreement signed makes you slave. They replace skilled people with low cost employees. Most employees are working full-time in US on business visa which are easier to get for technically unskilled MBA overheads they have hired over time.
What don't you like about working at Tata Consultancy Services?
TCS fired 30,000 employees in 2008 claiming recession. All employees were forced to resign without any compensation. They were threatened with unfavorable feedback on carrier to future employees if they do not resign. The company jacks up experience of employees and puts less or no experience person as highly experienced employee to get higher billing rate. Employs who are science grads are projects as engineering grads under internal training certifications. It is very clear that internal training in Tata Consultancy Services is a paid honeymoon time. Most people meet get married during this tenure.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Stop cheating unsuspecting US and European clients.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
If you are experienced hire with the company you are the preferred one to be bullied and fired at the first possible opportunity.

What do you like about working at Tata Consultancy Services?
The schedule is flexible; 8:00 means show up sometime between 8 and 9:30. The environment is business casual and my onshore team is full of great people. Also, lots of training is available in-house but the certificates are not universal.
What don't you like about working at Tata Consultancy Services?
Management does not want to hear harsh truths about projects, management is all Indian and follows Indian superstition and religion with belief in positive energy undoing all problems with a project including bad planning. Management will not blame itself for problems.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Management needs to listen to its employees and fix problems instead of passively hoping that they disappear.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
The interviews are easy once you understand the heavy accent on the other side of the telephone. Be honest; they will hire anybody.

The induction phase is the best and individual will learn a lot during this period and that really brings the best out of you.
What don't you like about working at Tata Consultancy Services?
Their Onsite policy and Body Shopping philosophy. I had been threatened of law suits if i left the company, I am still in possession of the letter, I dont believe it that they want bonded labor and too in a Free Market like US.
What suggestions do you have for management?
The more rules they make, more people would break them. Liberalise all and be competetive and things would be better with Lower attrition.

Well work your way hard to earn the perks (salary,promotion/Onsite ...) But remember if you dont open your mouth, you would remain a mere laborer not a knowledged workforce.

What do you like about working at Tata Consultancy Services?
I liked the most is that u get different opportunities to work in different projects. Employees get chance to select their choice of project and stream if openings are there. And above all, we get lots of training to boost our career growth.
What don't you like about working at Tata Consultancy Services?
Sometimes, u r forced to work in the project where u r not much interested. Its annoying if u r doing what u dont like to do. Also Appraisal policy is not up to the mark.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Need to improve the Appraisal Process to satisfy the employee.

Need to be ready with Management as well as technical rounds. Person have to be very much tech Ready.

Their yearly appraisal system,work culture and unethical behaviour.

There should be some tranaparency among managers with their tam members,generally they have impression among their team members which is given by team leads.They don't have clear idea about performance of all.

Assisting employees who are not familiar with US laws and customs to assimilate in the U.S.

Unfair and biased company. They were not willing to adhere to Employment law in the U.S. TATA has an extremely high turnover rate.

Aggressively hire U.S. Managers and Directors and work toward improving the overall Employee Relations and Organizational Effectiveness.
