"Randstad temp agency is not worth it if you have options"

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
Randstad provided work quickly when I needed the money. The only perk through Randstad was where I was consulting, Merrill Lynch.
What don't you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
Randstad payed poorly, provided terrible benefits, did not open opportunities for advancement, gave hardly any paid time off, and did not respect long time consultants despite the hardships of lacking adequate pay, inconsistent work, multiple job titles, and lack of benefits.
What suggestions do you have for management?
When you have employees temping for over a year treat them like full-time workers and give them a righteous amount of benefits and compensation. When temporary work lasts for a few months the lack of benefits makes sense because the idea is the employee will move on, but when you trap them in temp positions on a long term basis treat them fairly!
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Yes, flex your other options first and if this is a last resort to make money or build your resume, take it. Otherwise, find something that will reward you for hard work and senority.

| The nature of staffing companies is that they match your qualifications with what the Client (ie. Merill Lynch) is looking for. If Merill Lynch was searching for a temporary rather than full time employee, and as an applicant you accept this role, then you will receive benefits, PTO, and pay relative to a temporary position. Should an employee require more flexible benefit options and salary rather than hourly pay, their best bet is to apply directly to a company rather than a staffing agency. My guess is that the answer to this is that there were no such options available. In that case, Thank goodness for Randstad and your paycheck! | 05.27.10 |

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
ADP gave me the opportunity to learn about time and labor management and training thereof. They entrusted me to fly all over the country to their external clients to represent them, so that I could train them.
What don't you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
The only thing I didn't like about ADP, was sometimes information could get lost in the shuffle. Their communications could be better.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Management was excellent. I have no suggestions for improvement.

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
I liked that I was helping people find jobs. That warmed my heart.
What don't you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
The micromanagement, no freedom to be myself, wearing a tie.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Change the role of the staffing consultant. Take out some of the administrative stuff and focus on the people skills stuff, recruiting, interviewing and sales are the important things, and take out the administrative stuff.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
A world wide company will have it's way of doing things, and will be very strict.

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
Joint evaluation of desired employee performance and employee goals, challenge and innovation. Job was a perfect fit for my experience and was challenging and rewarding working for Bose.
What don't you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
Difficulty in contacting Randstad after contract complete. Randstad did not reply to my application for position openings. When notified that employee had left Randstad, position was filled.

Follow through on employee candidates!

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
I liked working for Randstad because their was room for Growth. I started off as an Agent then worked my way up to be an Onsite Manager. I had the pleasure to travel often to help set up our new accounts across the country

I cant think of anything that I dont like, I loved working with the people that I use to work with

I had a great Management team, the only thing I would suggest is giving timely reviews

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
The challenge of being thrust in a role where I learned everything by the seat of my pants and succeeded.
What don't you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
The long hours.....I was putting in 12-14 hour days due to the merger activities.

It has been over 3 years and a new managment team is in place so I am unable to comment.

It is a great company to work for.....they work hard and play hard. Work is rewarded.

What suggestions do you have for management?
Get new staff and make sure they understand that their PRODUCT, their temps, are valuable too. Also, if the temp does a good job with most of their employers, and they have a problem with one, that doesn't mean they are a bad apple. Maybe that employee at the employer company is. I was discriminated against and Randstad did not care.

Stay away from Randstad; their staff has a lot to be desired.

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
It was a good way to get a foot in the door. I've found when an employer can "try you on" and see how well you work, it is easier to get hired.
What don't you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
I didn't enjoy the stigma of being a "temp" and I found that trying to figure out how much to withhold in taxes to be, well, taxing.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Make sure your recruiters know their tax withholding and other HR paperwork business.

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
Randstad has allowed me to grow in the HR field. Crossed trained me in areas such as, I9 complainces, OSHA, FMLA and Workman's Compensation.

The postion have only been contract postions and no room for growth.

I believe the management teams that I have worked will have provided me with all of my needs while using the agency.

What do you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
Not one thing. All they ever did was lie to me. I received no support at all from them or the client company I worked for which turned out to be a lemon too.
What don't you like about working at Randstad Professionals?
They don't treat people like adults. They treat them like children.

I have many but they all start with the the words "Kiss My and Stick It..."
