What do you like about working at PwC?
Covered parking, and really that was about it. I worked from home one day a week most of the time, and that compensated for the BS at the office to help keep me sane.
What don't you like about working at PwC?
Management is not experienced enough in industry and real world circumstances. The environment is at best incestuous and generally the level of arrogance of most of the people in the company is amazing. Most of the people that work there cannot survive in normal commercial or industrial settings as they are primadonnas and have little experience other than their PwC brain washed experience, and they do not realize it which makes it that much more amazing. They seriously think they are all experts at various things and their mostly immature ammatures. It's a weird non-realistic place to exist. I was glad to get the heck out of there ultimately, had enough of the BS...
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Go somewhere else. PwC is one of the weirdest damned non-realistic companies on this planet. Go to IBM, GTE, GE, HP, Google, Raymond James, D&T, anywhere but PwC unless your gay and then you might as well hop in the PwC jacuzzi. They have NO respect for IT personnel whatsoever and are outsourcing all their IT to India, which is basically why I lost my job, but that was OK. I was ready to leave that place after tolerating a lot of crap for 4 years.
"Great first job out of College and it provided me with so many varied and diverse engagements"

What do you like about working at PwC?
The experience and diversity of the client assignments. Learned a lot about different types of accounting systems and methods. Saw first hand when things went really wrong with very poorly run clients and how much better things run in very well managed companies.
What don't you like about working at PwC?
The opportunities for advancement became harder and harder as your years of service increased. As a third year Auditor the next step would be senior and for every open Senior position there were at least 4 people ready for that spot. You either moved into a Senior position or you were out.
What suggestions do you have for management?
A major public accounting firm offers a terrific experience for someone fresh out of college. The only criticsm I have, based on my experience at PriceWaterhouse was that the Partner monitor his managers better to watch and prevent some of the abuse of power that was exercised freely.

What do you like about working at PwC?
Nothing at all, false promises and in Software consulting they dont have any full implemention projects and the partners take all the money and leave you with nothing.
What don't you like about working at PwC?
Their false promises and lack of projects. They promise one thing and dont have any ethics only a bunch of Penny Pinchers who dont have any values or ethics in the business world. The Partners use racial slurs and nobody to tell them right or wrong.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Be honest and open and have some ethical values. This company did all the false reporting in India with Satyam computers and it is an eye opener

What do you like about working at PwC?
Reputation.
What don't you like about working at PwC?
No chance to move up unless you know the partner "at a personal level". For example, if he asks you for dinner while traveling out of town, you had better accept. Otherwise, your chance of being promoted is zero. (But this is in the IT consulting department, not in Audit that generally hires people with high integrity by nature.)
What suggestions do you have for management?
Should know how the so-called experienced staff can easily abuse their power to make the truly capable staff impossible to be known. It's too easy for those who are good at "show" to hold on to their jobs by using others' talents. It's basically how you "present" yourselves, not what you are truly capable of.

What do you like about working at PwC?
I very much liked my role as CFO and the challenges were significant on which I thrived. My role was broad based and functioned as the senior advisor to the CEO which I liked.
What don't you like about working at PwC?
Management was largely retired military with little commercial experience and we were not selective enough when bringing on new senior staff. As a result, many business decisions were not optimal.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Focus more on bringing on long experienced commercial managers. Be very selective in hiring.

What do you like about working at PwC?
The people are excellent. Very smart and willing to learn. Training is excellent.
What don't you like about working at PwC?
There's no growth pattern beyond the traditional accounting firm mentality. You may go to a different group, but there is a ceiling. Change is also not handled very well. The words may say they are, but the actions are very contradictory.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Recognize the value of all of your people, not just the ones who fit the preconceived mold.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Go in enthusiastic, looking forward to learning, demonstrate a willingness to work hard, go whereever you are sent, and open to become a recognized expert in whatever interest you pursue.

What do you like about working at PwC?
The client versatility and the opportunities provided. I also enjoyed working with different groups based on the engagements.
What don't you like about working at PwC?
I didn't like the fact that at times the scope of our work was so specific for each group that we weren't given an opportunity to look at other highly specialized areas,i.e. taxation, valuation, etc.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Just to be youself and be geniue with your abilities. There is no need to try to impress the management. They are all highly skilled professionals and they are very good at selecting quality professionals to join their team.

What don't you like about working at PwC?
It was an unfair deal for many of us that came to work for this firm. Despite the fact engaging the HR contact, upper management ruled and subordinates lose.
What suggestions do you have for management?
To take a good luck at their actions, specially those who work with the Int'l Assignment teams, the fact clients received a courteous attention it did not mean the employees were extended with the same respect. BY the time I left PWC I was very angry.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
I hope things have changed within the last 6 years!!!! Otherwise, all the best luck!
