"A shame that the Agency has fallen and loyal staff are treated badly."

What do you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
In the beginning, they contacted you and really tried to provided you with jobs, keeping you working so long as you took what they offered.
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
Once they started to have more recruits coming in for positions, they no longer called you and wouldn't even return your calls or emails. Also, when you did try to call to speak to your recruiter they would always say they were busy or couldn't speak to you and would never call you back. Their loyality to their workers, who have been with them for more than a year, taking whatever jobs they offered, and coming back with good reviews and still they forgot you and would find placements for new people not you. For more than 6 months after an assignment that I was even requested to return the following summer, I wasn't given another temp or perm job from Manpower. Sue Harris in the NY office blew me off!!! and so did the new manager which I emailed and she never got back to me. This also happened to a friend of mine who initially was the one who recommended me until she was on a TV show that discussed unemployed people and then did Manpower contact her with a position. I wouldn't recommend Manpower anymore, unless you want to be used then thrown away.
What suggestions do you have for management?
My suggestion is for management to start to contact those workers and find out if they need help in getting a placement and to ask what has been happening to them since their last job placement with Manpower. Also, maybe micromanage the current recruiters who supposedly are looking for jobs for people.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
My tip is to look for other agency's that can help with work. Don't put too much weight in getting regular jobs. They have a tendency in the NYC office to stop giving you jobs once you get too close to making your anniversary of a year (which means they would have to give you 1 week's worth of vacation).

What do you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
Not to much but they found me a job.
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
The manpower place I went threw you get lied too just to get you to go to work, you cant afford the benefits on what they pay you, if you fill out a survey about the rep you went threw and its not to what they want you get a call from them and they lie and deny what you put down and they are mad at you for telling the truth.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Pay the workers more and lower your benefit package so its worth staying with you and send a rep in as a fake employee to see how they gat treated so they can report back to the main office on how people are getting treated.

What do you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
They encouraged both personal and profesional growth and encoraged everyone to be involved. It was a high working for them, because they did not understand the meaning of failure.
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
I felt they were loose with cost controls and their was lax control of travel. The company was overly political and often the most talented were not promoted.
What suggestions do you have for management?
None, because they do course correct every 3-5 years.

Make sure that everything is clearly spelled out before an offer is accepted. They are extremely fair and work hard to help their people suceed.

What do you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
I liked them for getting me the job and supporting me when I needed them to.
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
They didn't seem to support me upon my exit, seemed a very shady, quick exit they set forth into action, and not certain if they followed protocol to do so...confusing.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Be straightfoward with your employees, don't play games and don't let the company you are working with play games with employees either.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
They'll see you soon...crazy high turnover at the American Cancer Society.

What do you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
The job lasted longer than it was originally supposed to. Plus I had an opportunity to be hired permenant Plus the training site was very helpful.
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
When the company was sold, I was let go for being asbsent to much. They counted in the time the company was closed. Plus the vacation time I had taken with the approval of the company I was working at. The original person I was to contact at Manpower, had quit and nothing that I had discussed with her was in my file.

Knowing issues going on at a clients office with additional responsibilities added to Manpower employees that had not be negotiated with the contract due to Corporate Client

Continually stay involved with issues that may arise between employee & client.

Tip: Stay in communication with this company that they may best fit your needs as well as the client for the "Best Fit"

I was offered the opportunity to work with the Corporate and Compliance Department and learned a great deal about corporate ethics.
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
It was only a temporary assignment. I was hoping to obtain permanent work.

More departmental communication. Everyone did their own thing without regard to other departments.

The workload was very sporadic. It would have been good to ask what type of work was available during downtime.

There were a lot of unnecessary, excessive administrative procedures that took time away from actually selling.

Automate some of the administrative procedures so that there are less duplicate procedures and more quality selling time.

What do you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
They do the job searching for you. And the assignments are temporary, so if you don't like them, you're not stuck there forever. Also, they pay you once a week.
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
The assignment I'm currently working at is in information management at Iron Mountain. The job is repetitive, boring, tedious, and monotonous. I think I'm overeducated for it. It's so mundane. I stare at a computer all day long. Nobody there is passionate about their work.
