What do you like about working at Kelly Services?
Kelly Services IT as a whole was a great experience for me. I found a company that I liked and that would take a chance on me. It gave me a good foot in the door for a permanent hire doing the same job at the same location.
What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?
Potential for being let go by a company without any justification.
What suggestions do you have for management?
This is a good place to go to find skilled workers who might not otherwise make it through the automated scanning process that HR might be using. You can get great employees from real world experience that you would miss if only looking for the exact match of a hastily written "Job Description". Especially where the responsibilities of a job are somewhat fluid.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Add everything you can into your information section. Be professional. Dress the part, your interview with Kelly is only the first interview, you still need to interview with the client who may or may not hire you, if Kelly isn't impressed, why would they send you as their first shot at a clients job interview.

What do you like about working at Kelly Services?
Kelly Services was able to provide the role-based positions that best suited my skills and interests. Also, because, in my case, I was sitting on site at Microsoft, I was able to fully integrate with my team and other colleagues and continue to learn about the business from different folks/teams.
What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?
I think in general, being a v- vendor now and also that I am a little bit older with a mortgage, that the 100 days off was a tough time and I wouldn't go back to an a- position.
What suggestions do you have for management?
I would suggest that you hire/train your relationship managers to align and acquaint them with the business in which they are communicating with folks in that part of the business. I found it frustrating to have a "review" with someone who had no idea what I did or even know a few of the buzz words.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Find a position that suits you too. If both parties are content, the relationship will last, the work will flourish and the opportunities will keep opening up!

What do you like about working at Kelly Services?
Great people, great benefits, pension, and a 401k with a good match. Blackberry and a laptop.
What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?
The employees that worked for me were in the United Auto Workers Union and there seemed to be a lot of wasted time dealing with trivial issues.
What suggestions do you have for management?
They needed more independent auditors to come in to help weed out some of our senior management issues at the corporate end. It was a private company that was run into the ground by 2 men who may be facing criminal charges from the owner.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
They are shut down, but I will pretend they are not and give advice anyway : Show them that you are very personable and will be able to work well with everyone from Sr. Mgmt. to the UAW workers. The plant manager is also vvery fond of well-rounded, community oriented people.

THE MANAGERS WHO WAS ALWAYS THERE GUIDING YOU THROUGH.
What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?
THAT THERE IS NO ON GOING JOB AFTER IT IS DONE WITH AN EMPLOYEE, MEANING SINCE I LEFT I HAVE NOT HAD ANOTHER OFFER WHICH IS STRANGE SINCE I HAVE A GOOD RAPPORT WITH MY SUPERVISORS.
What suggestions do you have for management?
MANAGEMENT AT WOODLAND HILLS OFFICE ARE THE BEST! THE ONLY THING IS THEY NEED SOME FOLLOW UP WITH FORMER AND CURRENT EMPLOYEES SINCE WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THAT LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP.

COME PREPARED DURING AND PROFESSIONAL LOOKING, PRESENT SELF WELL AND ASK QUESTIONS ALL THE TIME LET THEM KNOW THAT AS MUCH AS YOU NEED A JOB YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW THE COMPANY YOU ARE WORKING FOR AND HAVE A LONG TERM COMMITMENT, TO BE ABLE TO PRESENT THE COMPANY TO THE FULLEST.

What do you like about working at Kelly Services?
I like that the staff at Kelly works with you to find the right fit for you. Also, you have access to jobs that aren't posted on job boards; lots of companies prefer to go through a staffing service to screen their candidates!
What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?
they recently changed their vacation pay policy and if you work for them long enough to qualify for vacation pay, you don't' get it until the end of the year. If' you've been hired on by your assignment, you don't get it. you only get your earned bonus if you're still active with Kelly. I think that's a VERY unfair.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Change the vacation pay policy.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Be flexible and know that you can negotiate higher pay then you are offered.

Like the fact that we have a good communication system going on and I can update them on any progeress. They respect my business decissions that I make regarding this downturn in our economy.

I dont like the fact that it takes them a while to find me another assignment.

Management should always let us grow and develop no matter what is going in the work force and let us excercise our rights as temps all the time no matter what.

Stay focused dont let anyone tell you cant do it. Fight for your career and you are the one in control of your destiny you can help yourself make it. If you really want to and always stay open you dont know when or where your opportunity may come from.

What do you like about working at Kelly Services?
Using their website was fairly easy to schedule jobs.
What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?
I can't remember any negative situations, although for some of the abuse the substitute teachers take especially from students in urban schools the pay seems low especially for someone with 4-6 years of higher education.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Perhaps institute a graduated pay-scale so that if a teacher is asked to work in a less than desirable school, He or she would earn some type of "bonus" pay for that assignment.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Good company. All the staff members I dealt with were very pleasant and professional. Just choose your assignments wisely. The experience can vary from class to class,cluster to cluster and school to school.

fun to recruit, lots of resources such as a great Applicant Tracking System and SalesForce combo and coworkers all over the US (and the world)
What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?
somewhat top heavy -- too much time spent on conference calls and training instead of getting hands dirty doing actual sales. more time spent on financial analysis by managers sometimes than of sales.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
this co is pretty midwestern, but the large size is good both nationally and internationally. it is well above average among staffing agencies and quite professional in how it conducts itself
