What do you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
First and foremost the training provided at Infosys is one of its kind. Even a person who does not know what a computer is will start to develop a craze for the IT industries. The facilities provided is mind blowing. the work culture , job security and the benefits and above all the respect we get on being an infoscion is incredible.
What don't you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
I can't think of any.
What suggestions do you have for management?
I can say that the management of Infosys is one of the best in the world. The founder of Infosys Mr Narayana Murthy and his wife is considered to be one of the most successful. Infosys started with just seven members and within a few years it was a company that provided jobs to Lakhs. i think the Infosys management is one of the best and has to be ;learned from.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
unlike many other firms the interviews in Infosys is not based on your grades. They just test you to see if you have the potential to learn what they train you and if you have the flexibility to learn new technologies. A person who is very observant and analytically thoughtfull and is aware of the current affairs in the world. you are sure to be an infoscion.

What do you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
Great infrastructure compared to all the other IT firms in India. Other than that nothing much good in there. Definitely a good place for a fresher to start a career. But make sure shift your job once you complete 2-3(max) years. Otherwise you will stuck up in there.
What don't you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
Very partial managers. Don't expect promotions from a non-home state development center. Never ever expect to work in trained technologies. They will put you in some projects in some remote offices not considering your location preferences. Ask you to change technologies very often. You will be "Jack of all trades, master of none".
What suggestions do you have for management?
Dont spoil the good image of Infy in the past by sticking on some crap policies.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
If you are really looking for some good career growth into some technology specific areas then dont ever join infy. But yes if you really stuck up somewhere with no job, no money then yes join to get some industry exposure.

What don't you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
No Career Path, No Flexibility to Change Verticals or Your group, Escalation against process means Inviting Hell, Middle Level Managers are Spoiling all the hard work Done by Founders of Infosys. Only if you belong to South India, you will get regular Promotion. It is so clear why Infy has not promoted much in North India despite the fact that 30-40 % talent from North is employed in South.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Watch your Middle Level Managers, they are only caring for their margins and don't bother about employees careers. They place Informatica Skilled people to coordinator role, DBA to do App support, BO resource to do informatica and what not. They dont even given an opportunity to test a highly experienced person to play lead role just because they try to change work culture..
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Don't Even think of growth if you are from North India and you dont know any higher ups

What do you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
I joined infosys before completing my Masters. I liked the fact that despite of me being the junior most, I was given the responsibility of an entire pilot project just, within 6 months of me joining the company, just because I was a good performer. In that company, talent is surely appreciated and rewarded. Above all that scope for learning and development could not be found elsewhere.
What don't you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
There is no work and personal life balance.

Pay scale should be more.

If one is not confident about what is shown in his/her resume, there is no point in applying for Infosys.

The organization is huge and many a times, seniority overtakes merit.

Roles and responsibilities should be redefined to meet the current knowledge level of employees. The older definition is almost obsolete. The recruitment process should be made more rigorous to select the right match for the job function

Complet paperless functioning, lots of automation within the company, good intranet website

Delayed promotions, HR overruling delivery leadership, less than market compensation, more shareholder oriented than caring about the employees
What suggestions do you have for management?
Bridge the distance between "management" and "employees". Relook at policies adversely affecting the employees. Pay employees better. Empower the deliver leadership again; they are getting overpowered by HR and Finance.

If job security is your top priority and dont much bother about salary, go ahead. Otherwise it will get difficult as time passes by.

What do you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
The work was challenging and the people were easy to get along with. Management seemed to know what it was doing.
What don't you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
The HR department needs A LOT of work. I was double paid for my first month's salary, and it took them two months to try to recover it. Then, it took them four months to reimburse me for expenses I incurred while traveling on a business trip to perform work for their firm!
What suggestions do you have for management?
Improve the process for submitting expenses in the US. This seems to be an Indian outfit, and their operations in the US need to improve if they want to succeed here.

What don't you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
No Growth even you perform more than expected. They expect to work all the time. Appraisal is the worst process. Finding fault in your work then motivating. Very poor compensation for the experienced people. They pay less then they charge the customers. Even you propose new ideas, Managers don't look into it. They expect you to do one role above.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Don't be greedy. Provide good compensation to the people who put effort. Very selfish managers.

Don't prefer this company now. No growth. Lots of politics within the team. Managers don't care about the sub-ordinates growth.

Growth is slow and interaction with client is restricted. Compensation is not close to others in the industry.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Management chain is very long and bulky and often encourages constricted micro-management and inappropriate sense of authority for the middle managers.

For a beginner, basic understanding of logic and good academic background is required. It may be a plus to be able to crack puzzles!

There are lot of opportunities to grow depending on your manager. There is lot of transparency. Benefits are good, work culture is okay. Infrastructure is great.
What don't you like about working at Infosys Technologies?
It's getting tougher to climb up the ladder lot of unncessary policies that tends to restrict the promotions. Salary is not good. Most of the times expected to work extra hours.
What suggestions do you have for management?
It's not just the share/stake holders who makes a company. Employees deserve lot better compensation for their hard work.Inofsys is definitely one of the best places to work compared to other Indian IT companies.
