"I have worked for the ICEE company for about 6 years now. I enjoy the work. The people and my boss are great to work with and for."
"Worked with company for 20 years. Grew into 3 positions within the company. Have recommendations from the CEO, Vice President and several co-workers. Lost position due to the Covid-19 pandemic."
"i have been working with the company, i always work hard"
"Terrible management that provides no support and treats employees as servants/slaves. Micromanagement. No training provided (though training was promised during hiring process). Management just throws techs into assignments without providing any training or guidance. Driving 90% of the time. Got injured on the job, was denied workers comp/short-term disability, no paycheck for 6 weeks; received bill from ICEE for $238 for health premiums with threats to pursue legal action against me."
"If you want to get some assistance don't expect your fellow co workers to assist you. Management is no help they do not back up their employees. The companies interest is making $$$ by underpaying and over charging customers. Management needs to take some management classes. No room for growth unless you're related to someone or a really good brown noser."
"I've been with Icee for 3 years. It's a great company to work for rite out of hvac school. Get your experience and get out. Growth opportunity is available but pay is worse because they still require 60 to 70 hour work week but salary. As a service tech your home life is non existent and is expected being in the refrigeration side of business. Safety is of no concern because jobs have to get done within a time frame in order for the supervisors to get their bonuses."
"Thank You for firing me!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Ask why you'll need a physical if you use more thna three of your sick days in a row..because you will. Ask if drivecam records you in the bathroom. Ask them if they are aware of devices called harnesses that allow people to climb ladders in a safe manner. Offer knowledge of a pop rivet gun so you can fix their ladders. Thats what they do so your skills here will be appreciated. Tell them how well you climb a 20 foot, household quality ladder, in snow, while carrying a tool box and parts. BUT, take the job, learn how to fix things, then move on. Stay no more than 5 years. They will not reward this. I made good money only by selling my soul to overtime."
