What do you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
If you were in Sales/Management - it is one of the best place to work for. Their training is intense, but creative and innovative. They have a great sales team and their management team are all on the same page. It is all about the best in service, and the MGHSD is rated one of the top - high quality service in the convention hotels in San Diego.
What don't you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
Growth. I think that if an employee excels in her current role and needs to be challenged that management should see that and nurture and grow this employee for a promotion.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Growth. Look for your employees who are great at what they do and is looking to be challenged - mold and raise them for promotion so they remain loyal to you. When an opportunity opens up - internal employees should have the first opportunity to apply first and they should be encouraged. (Not because you need to be challenge so to promote you - we will transfer you to another property..)

What do you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
I apprciated most the corporate culture that was maintained within the company.
What don't you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
I liked least the lack of consistancy from department to department. Rules were interpreted differently amongst directors so there was often confusion in regards to protocol.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Interal audits amongst directors is the oy suggestion I have. Every year questionaires were distributed but were disregarded and input was heartfelt and thought to be a necessity. Teamwork is a necessity for survival and opinions were based on employees perspectives and upper management didn't seem to care. In this case, questionaires shouldn't have been distributed.

Great team work. This is a very high intense operation and having a good team work in the key to success.

The location of the property is ideal, so every day was a brand new experience

The management at the grand hyatt New york are extremly proffessional. They are the very best at what they do.

The management at the grand hyatt New york are extremly proffessional. If you have the pleasure of working with them, you will definitely learn more in a year then in 5 years working for another company

What do you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
It was a beautiful hotel property on Florida's West Coast. I was given the opportunity to develop their PR and Marketing as the hotel had never before had a PR and Marketing person on site.
What don't you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
Nothing, that is why I am still with Hyatt.

Management was the best I have ever worked for.

Try to relocate me but at that time I coud not because I just purchase a house and with the market in tihs days I lost $20-$30.000 of value

What do you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
I enjoyed that you could wear many hats in the course of the day. Hyatt is big on cross training into other area's within the hotel.
What don't you like about working at Hyatt Hotels?
As soon as I trained new managers and assistants, the went to work for other departments and other Hyatt Hotels.

Keep investing in your employees.

Upper managment uncompetent including HR. Very poor upper management overal. Too many unhappy middle managers and high turn over.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Need to be real leader not followers.

Low pay,bad management. Not good place to work and balance your personal life. Would not recommend company to work for.
