What do you like about working at Google?
Google is highly competitive work environment. Innovation and Google are connected in every aspect their existence: goals, Work/ life balance, performance, and technology.
What don't you like about working at Google?
Long Commute: 1.5 hour commute (One way)on a Google shuttles that offers wireless connections.
What suggestions do you have for management?
N/A Google is in Good hands. Is Google getting too big??
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Bring your A+ game to every thing that is Google. Google demands it in the work environment, technology labs, play, lunch room, games, meetings, etc.

What do you like about working at Google?
Opportunity for challenging work and opportunity to work with exceptionally talented colleagues.
What don't you like about working at Google?
IMO - Incompetent management bungling projects. IMO - Engineers are compelled to sit and do as they are told even when they believe that the wrong direction is being pursued.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Create flatter organization with fewer managers. Allow different approaches to a solution to be heard and evaluated without using intimidation to suppress alternate points of view.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Don't do it. Or, if you must, then relocate to Mountain View. Avoid the Santa Monica Google office.

What do you like about working at Google?
Employees are given a lot of latitude in getting things done; priorities are allowed to shift when it makes sense; very collaborative environment, yet everyone is still an important contributor
What don't you like about working at Google?
Nothing. Really, I'm serious, nothing. This is the best job I've ever had.

Continue to focus on growing individuals and keeping the work interesting.

Know your stuff inside and out. After that, just relax and enjoy the process.

What do you like about working at Google?
The culture at Google does not judge you by your appearance, as long as you can get the job done, they don't care how you dress or wear your hair!
What don't you like about working at Google?
They never let the Contract workers get hired on directly.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Please recognize the talent that is there, even if it is only a contract worker, and hire them on direct.

Just know what you are talking about and have the best grades in college!

As a contract worker, I was not allowed to be included in many work areas. Limited knowledge of what was going on beyond my direct responsibilities.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Allow a little more responsibility, create a path for contractor to become regular full time employees.

Be very specific with your abilities, demonstrate how you can elevate your position.

My immediate manager wasn't the friendliest. I think it could of a personality conflict.

Be open minded and listen to your employees. Google is an innovative company so innovation does not come from one person.

Be prepared and ready for an in-depth interview lasting multiple days.

There is very little room for advancement unless you hold a computer science degree.

Be sure when your buying other companies you take into effect the people there and their life time of commitment to their jobs before you sell them off.
