What do you like about working at Army National Guard?
There are lots of professional connections to be made, and many positions that provide directly relevant skill sets to professional life outside the military.
What don't you like about working at Army National Guard?
On the whole, the military is probably the most unorganized organization in the US. You certainly can't trust their HR Dept, and you will always have too many bosses. Also, it seems as though, most of your bosses don't deserve their position.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Safety is important, but it has gotten in the way of doing your/our jobs. Fear restricts our work and our goals.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
The interview process is the easiest there is: just sign your name on the line.

What do you like about working at Army National Guard?
Challenging extreme job with high visibility in a very important mission area.
What don't you like about working at Army National Guard?
Traffic was troublesome at times but I normally got to work early and left late to avoid traffic

Make sure each employee has an appropriate role, with a conducive environment, and with great development opportunities.

Believe in the military mission of patriotic service and the military will welcome you into the community.

What do you like about working at Army National Guard?
The atmosphere is too political and cut-throat. I don't fit in with the way of thinking.
What don't you like about working at Army National Guard?
I do like the amount of control that my boss right now gives me but overall the Army does not give you any.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Not sure what I would do differently but I just can't stand the huge anonymity that the organization brings with it.

Do your time and see if its for you, then make a decision. Great job at first but not something you necessarily want to do for life.

You get one of the best chances to help your local community when there is a crisis.
What don't you like about working at Army National Guard?
Promotion hinges largely on slotting. Slotting promotes a tendency for others to become squatters, and that stagnates the initiative and ambition of fresh minds with fresh ideas.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Adopt the same promotion system and standards of the USMCR.

There are many opportunities that are available in the Army, I specially like the National Guard because I can be at home at do my Military duties. The benefits are great and I feel proud to be in the Guard.

I am just a person who has not had that civilian opportunity too excel to the top of the chain as of yet, and would appreciate that chance

Be honest most of all and lay it all out on the table so that when Management looks at you they will have a good view of the personage and also look at the work ethics, skills, and how you interact with a diverse setting.

Iloved the jobs I had but most of the supervisors were bad.
What don't you like about working at Army National Guard?
Micromanagera for supervisors, Pretty much used the good old boy system.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Get a life and learn how to take care of your troops instead of your selves.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
They work on the good old boy system and unless you know someone you are not likely to get excepted.

What do you like about working at Army National Guard?
It taught me discipline, the ability to be pro active, and extreme time management as well as multi-tasking and attention to detail.
What don't you like about working at Army National Guard?
This was the military and I served multiple weekends which did not afford me too much personal time between my full time civilian position and this position.
