What do you like about working at Aquent?
Generating new business with C-Level Executives at Fortune 100 & 500 companies, and forming trusting relationships with them. I was my own boss and able to run my own desk with little supervision from Upper Management. I also enjoyed mentoring/training the Agents so they could start getting in front of clients as well.
What don't you like about working at Aquent?
There were a lot of promises made to me during the interview process that never came to fruition. Also, the other Account Director never showed up to work so I was the only AD responsible for bringing in new business/revenue for the entire Atlanta office.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Be honest and upfront to the people you are interviewing, and don't suger coat things.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Expect there to be change from upper management on a weekly basis, and they are constantly laying off and then hiring.

What do you like about working at Aquent?
I liked the idea of being employed with no real commitment while looking for a permanent position.
What don't you like about working at Aquent?
Not having a real commitment to a permanent position.
What suggestions do you have for management?
I think they do an excellent job at trying to keep a connection with their employees, very difficult in a temporary placement agency. No one really talked to me about my goals or what I wanted once I was placed.
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
Take this company for what it is, a temporary placement services company, that produces revenue by keeping temporary employees in temporary positions. If you want a permanent position, realize you need to keep focus on your goals.

What do you like about working at Aquent?
I loved the vision and engagement of the senior management team
What don't you like about working at Aquent?
As visionary as the management team was, they were outward looking, and often failed to see or act upon internal issues and inconsistencies.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Don't lose focus! With a CEO who has been obsessively focused on rolling out a new computing platform, it appears that senior management has turned their backs on their core business. Nearly half the company's staff has been laid off in the past year while they continue to spend millions on an unproven Linux-based computing platform called LITL (www.litl.com)

What do you like about working at Aquent?
It really helped me build my skill level very fast, working for companies like Disney and JBI. The pay was not great and it was hard to get by sometime, but in the end i am a much better more focused designer and worker under any condition.
What don't you like about working at Aquent?
not knowing if I was going to be working in 4 months was a hard thing to do. Working as a freelancer is I think the hardest thing I have had to do so far overall.
What suggestions do you have for management?
None, they were great with me.

What do you like about working at Aquent?
I enjoy the people I work with, the projects I contribute to, and helping clients integrate our products into their systems.
What don't you like about working at Aquent?
In software development there is usually the right way of doing something, and the quick way. Business needs often dictate that the quick way be utilized, and while I understand that one cannot change this, it is nevertheless something I do not always like..
What suggestions do you have for management?
Management is effective and I do not have any suggestions at this time.

Be open, honest, and personable and you can't go wrong.

What do you like about working at Aquent?
I liked the programming projects that were given to me. They gave me a great opportunity to learn.
What don't you like about working at Aquent?
I didn't enjoy the interoffice politics between departments. There was very little cooperation between groups, which lead to a bit of a cut-throat environment.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Working towards common goals for the greater benefit of the company would go along way towards fixing interdepartmental relations.

Great place to work for various advertising agencies and to get great experience with great pay

Wanted more full time of a position eventually and as the market slowed down no jobs where available

I think that it would be nice if they didn't hire more employess than they can find jobs for

What do you like about working at Aquent?
Aquent was a great resource for me to find consulting work when I needed to stay home with my children.
What don't you like about working at Aquent?
They have not been able to find me a permanent position.
What suggestions do you have for management?
I would suggest for them to be more proactive in there in search for their dedicated talent.

Keep on top of your agent to keep looking for positions for you. You'll fall between the cracks if you don't remind them you are there to work.

What don't you like about working at Aquent?
They don't seem to have many jobs. They haven't found another job for me in the last three months since my last contract ended. They told me that there is a glut in the technical market and everyone has to take a pay cut. But when I agreed, they still didn't find me a job.
What suggestions do you have for management?
Investigate the Seattle office to find out why they are cutting disabled people off from jobs and giving them pay cuts. Help me to get a job again.

Contract terms are sometimes not set in stone but that is due to corporate restructuring and Aquent has no control.
